Walt Disney was visiting Britain when he learnt about Chingford’s model railway in Ridgeway Park. He was fascinated by trains and had constructed a 5,000 feet model railway track in his garden.

Want to ride Chingford’s model railway yourself?

There is a charge to ride the train, which give rides to members of the public on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday afternoons between April and the end of September from 2pm – 5:30pm. Details about the railway can be found at http://www.chingford-model-engineering.com/
